Mudpies, a short play written by Lauren Lubow, premiered in the Amios' October 2015 Shotz: It's What's for Dinner. Red Garnet Theater Company and Welterweight Productions have been working to bring this hilarious and heartfelt story to the screen and film festivals in 2017! Under my fledging directing and with the sharp eye of cinematographer Ian Friedman, the short film features a stellar cast that includes: Melissa Wolff, Justin Garascia, and Victoria Szel.
I've seen the dailies and an extended sequence. I'm so proud of the work being done on this film. It looks FANTASTIC !!!
We look forward to circulating this film in next year's festivals.
But, of course, we can't do it alone.
The bulk of our funds have been generously donated by Welter Weight Productions, but your help to raise money would be greatly appreciated. We are trying to raise a final $5,000 between now and December 1st. Your tax-deductible donation will not only provide funds to finish the film which includes syncing the sound and color (there are technical terms for this, I'll look it up and you can read this page again!)
Also we need to cover the many festival submission fees. If you give just $50, you will be helping us submit to one more festival !
