how gentle people get was a finalist in the 2019 F*It Club five-minute film competition.
Each submission had to include three conditions out of six choices.
This film fulfilled those requirements by having one two-minute un-interrupted sequence, the line "I'm ready for my close-up" and a sequence wherein someone was unaware that he or she was being recorded.
About a month before I wrote the scenario for this film, there was a story on CBS Sunday Morning about students who have received financial support for university study, but because they come from low-income family situations, have no funds for housing. Destitute, these estimated 66,000 students across the country are homeless and hungry and yet managing to put themselves through school.
I would like to thank Nathaniel Ansbach, Melissa Wolff & Ian Friedman for contributing their unique talents and making this film successful.
Also, a shout-out to F*It Club and Allyson Morgan for the work they do in allowing individuals to challenge themselves artistically and just say . . . "F*It.
